So typically 1-1.5 per week. But I SAH and these are recurring group type things that require minimal maintenance! As far as one-off playdates, pretty rarely. It really helps that we live in a walkable community within walking distance of an awesome playground for this age group and we have at least 10 families within a ten minute walk of our house. It's so easy to have someone over after nap for an hour, it's not a big production. Usually with just one friend, but they've been seeing each other almost every other weekend. It's pretty fabulous because they are the only family we do drop off play dates with (family we had a nanny share with for the first 2 years of LOs life). Since it's nice out, we'll be doing a lot more splash pad and park play dates for those of us who will be staying in the city for the summer. I feel like I need to keep on top of them because sometimes LO gets upset/sad that she doesn't have a little brother or sister at home to play with. Today we were supposed to have a play date at the park but they had to cancel. I was looking forward to it, so I'm pretty bummed! Maybe because it's a rare event...I need to work on planning more play dates!
