Then moved twice while I was 20, and twice in the last two years. I moved to college, and of course moved a few times there to dorm rooms and apts. Then I moved back home with my parents, then I met DH and moved in with him. Then we moved to our house we are in now, which we are hoping will be our forever home. I'm not big on moving. Once before I started school and the other two while I was in grade school (we stayed in the same school district though). I moved once in College and moved once when I started my career from an apartment to a house. I'm hoping to move one more time to our forever home and that's it! In college I had to move in and out of the dorms each year. Since college I have moved to a new apartment every 2 years on average. We're moving this weekend yet again... halfway across the country this time. My parents still own the first house as a rental (although they are thinking of selling it now) and still live in the house we moved to. I moved from that house at 22 when I got married and then my husband and I moved in January to the house we plan to be in for at least 15 years or so. The longest I lived in a place is 5 years. Now, we have been in our town for 7 years and only 2 homes. We bought so we are planning on sticking around. After college, I stayed in my first apartment 1 year, and then the next two apartments two years. Dh and I have been in our current apt just about 4 months and I told him I am determined to be here at least 3 years--I HATE moving! When I was 3 months old and my brother was 3 years old we moved into the house I grew up in. My parents didn't move out of that house until after I graduated from college. Right after college I did a fair amount of moving. Manhattan for a year, Hoboken for a year, an apt in Nashville for two years, and now we've been in our house for two years. I'm glad to have never moved. I moved around a bunch in college from apartment to apartment. But now that DH and I are in a house, I hope we only move one more time. From this, our stater home, to our final home that is a bit more spacious and we can live there for the next several decades. Then from 18-25 I moved another 4 times. And since moving to New York, Mr. Bee and I have moved 4 times in 7 years. I've moved about 20 times in my 33 year life! I guess we were always moving because we didn't have much money and kept moving to a place that was a little bit better or in a better school district. I really want to live in a forever house soon with Charlie and Olive though because moving a lot sucks when you're a kid. Did you move a lot growing up? How often have you moved in your adult life?
