I like a variety and we use rotate quite often. Agree, the Ralph Lauren ones tend to hold up really well. I still have towels from when I was single and just living with DH. Those towels are now used for LO's bath since he outgrew the hooded towel. I think if we'd kept sharing the white ones the last two years we'd need to replace them by now. White ones are Thomas O'Brien from Target (looks like them don't sell them anymore). Gray ones are Tahari Home, purchased from TJ Max. One year I was really into the Ralph Lauren towels so bought a whole bunch that were on sale at Macy's. They are still in great shape even after a few years. The next year I was into the thin micro fiber towels so I bought a bunch of those too. This summer I found some "rough" towels similar to the ones at the gym that is great for drying and exfoliating the skin. I bought a few of these from Walmart for $1.97! It never occurred to me that I should replace them. I'll probably get new white ones soon since ours are in rough shape, and I keep talking about replacing the blue ones because they are the exact color of our bathroom and it irks me, but I haven't yet because they are still in really good shape and it feels wasteful. We were gifted towels at our wedding shower 4.5 years ago. They are in really rough shape. I was going to ask for some for Christmas but now I'm thinking I can't wait that long.
