Although - to be fair - I was keeping a ton of way pre-kid clothes that not only will I never fit in, but just are not "appropriate" for a mother lol And yes! Totally splurged on myself - I got four sweaters and a blouse. Great deals on winter clothes right now! Sometimes, when I am doing a closet clean out and I am putting stuff in that big, black bag, I have a bit of a panic attack when I think about what I could have spent that money on, or what it could be doing for me in investments. At the end of the day, though, I feel it is very important for us as mothers to take care of ourselves and put as much thought into our wardrobes as we do for our children. It's relatively easy to dress my son as I've got a formula down, but I have extended the same principles to myself, so when I actually do buy something, I know it works and can work with everything else in my closet. So, did you end up getting any sweaters? Every few weeks I'll buy one or two items for myself. It could be a shirt from TJ Maxx or mascara from Sephora, not always expensive. I have a hard time spending more than $100 on myself at a time whereas it's easy for me to do so for the kids/DH. Pre-kids, I shopped for myself every day so it's definitely different now. Well J Crew factory has 50-60% off their sweaters and I'm heavily debating getting a few. 6 months out of the month is sweater weather where I live, and I need some sweaters. But I have the hardest time spending money on myself!
