We work at the same company so we get out for lunch together when we can. I get out on weekends sometimes, too! Happy hours....I make it happen, even when it messes up the rest of my evening/weekly schedule! But I also think it's fun to get together with Liam and other families, so we do that more often. It's still hard to get together though - I'd say I get together with girlfriends sans kids once every other month or so. We also socialize at least 1-2xs/week with our LOs at parks or each other's homes for play dates. Most of my close mom friends are SAHMs or work part time which makes it a lot easier to get together. Their kids are 2.5+. Most nights they come to our house so we can put R to bed, older kids watch a movie, and we watch football and have cocktails on the deck. My group of girlfriends only 1-2 months. We are all just so busy we don't have the time. We have some friends that have kids so it is socializing, but really our focus is on the kids so we do things like go to the playground. I just had coffee/breakfast with a friend where we talked about family but mostly about work too. Sometimes you forget how nice it is to hang out with a friend with no kids! I socialize sans kids twice a month or so. Usually it's to dinner or a concert, and sometimes it's during the work week. Charlie and Olive are 3 and almost 5. What about you?
