He spends part of the time trying to escape but I think it's good for him. We are really lucky! It's a huge library in an area with loads of young families, so they have lots of great programs for children. It makes me (as a book lover) so happy when my older daughter begs to go to the library. I'll be taking the future kids at least every other week. They weren't very interested in the books, but they loved being somewhere new that they could roam a little. Plus they have blocks, puzzles, and big windows in the kids area. They loved that! Our story time is for kids 12 months+ so in May I'm going to try that. It's hard to tell how that will go because they like to wander instead of sit still and pay attention to something. We also go to concerts - the library has a big auditorium and every week they host local children's performers. I'm sure just getting out of the house in general was nice for them but they loved playing there. We checked out several books to get back on track with our 1000 books before kindergarten which we have been slacking on. I am hoping to go at least 2-3 times a month now, especially since the weather is (hopefully) going to warm up. How often do you take your LO to the library? Do you check out books every time or just go to play?
