We only have to give him an actual time out every few weeks. I try to save it for times he is really breaking rules, being unsafe, or purposefully disobeying. She's been pushing boundaries like crazy lately. But lately I find myself wanting to "threaten" (such an awful word!) her with it more and more as she is pushing boundaries since it catches her attention. Most times I stop myself so I'm not making empty threats and so it doesn't lose its potency when we really do use it, but sometimes it's so hard!
