I've traveled for work 1 time and LO was also with grandma cause my DH was traveling for work too. The first trip was about a week long, the second was 2 nights. (2 days each time. First one she was 15 months). DH is in sales so travels a lot for work and has been away a lot more: DH and I have both been away from her twice - once a local overnight for a wedding and most recently for 2 nights for our babymoon. Some months he's gone every week for 2-3 nights. Some months it's every other week or maybe just a week. So he's really used to being away from LO I think I've been away from LO overnight 10-11 times. A few of those were just 1 night or a weekend away. Two of the trips were long distance trips (NYC and Europe vacations). And two other times I was in the hospital for 4-5 days. I'm thinking anything overnight. We've only been away from the kids a handful of times for actual trips/weekends away and a few others where my parents babysat overnight but it wasn't more than 12-16 hours total. We don't travel much in general and DH's job doesn't require him to travel.
