We have disposable multipurpose sheets that do not let pee through we leave on it so if we deal with any leakage we can just throw it out - maybe once ever other week we have to throw it out. I'd be washing the cover daily if I had a cloth one. Now I can just wipe down as needed. It's a little chilly, but he doesn't seem to mind. Typically I wash it with the sheets on the weekends. I am not intrigued by these foam changing pads that don't require a cover but are they cold?
