I have dry shampoo that I will use sometimes when I don't shampoo my hair in the shower. I use dry shampoo, but all that does is remove oil, it doesn't really clean it. I'm embarrassed to admit that I have gone up to 6 days between washings. However, my hair is used to it and doesn't really get greasy or stinky. The few instances where I went more than 2 days (sick, post hospital, etc) it was disgusting. I'd put it in a ponytail and it would look wet all the time. I swear if I stood next to a candle my head would have exploded into flames. It really helps me keep body in my hair and prevents it from getting greasy and limp. I find that getting it wet and running my fingers through helps distribute the oil without adding the drying factor of shampoo.
