We never buy any, and haven't given her any at parties. My sister drank it as a kid and had horrible teeth, so I'm trying to avoid that. I wasn't a juice fan, and had few cavities. She has books that mention juice, so I will eventually have to think of a way to explain juice that doesn't pique her interest too much! We don't actively restrict so it's no biggie to her, just another drink option. Some days she'll choose diluted juice a couple times, some days she doesn't want it at all. It's plain water the rest of the day. But me and DH are both from East Europe - the juice there is a lot less sugary and there are a lot of good veggie juices. The stores in our neighborhood carry the same stuff, so we usually buy that. If we get regular supermarket juice, even us adults put water in it because it tastes way too sweet otherwise. Some weeks they don't have any, some days they might have a couple glasses.. Usually we just have OJ around and I make sure there's no added sugars or fake sugars. She's almost 2 yo and she's had half a small juice box once and then the occasional sip of something here and there. I drink OJ with breakfast on non-work mornings and she just knows it's my juice! I see so many kids with terrible cavities getting extractions that run around with juice in sippy cups that I'm a bit paranoid. And luckily LO loves water from her water bottle so hydration isn't a problem even though she's not a big milk fan. About a year ago she stopped being constipated so I stopped the juice and haven't bought any since. My FIL's caregiver has apple juice on hand when we go visit him so it's special when they visit. He currently drinks that Motts Tots, the diluted apple juice. Its in the pantry with his snacks when he wants it. I also like the Bolthouse juices in the fridge case in the grocery store. He likes the C Boost and he gets a small glass (maybe 3 ounces) in the mornings with breakfast. After 3 we let her have juice when we go out to eat - sometimes she chooses juice and sometimes she chooses milk. At home she drinks milk and water and OJ if she asks for it (rarely asks for it - maybe once a month if that). I let her have juice at parties/events. We buy juice pouches for convenience when we're packing a lunch to go.
