What do you consider waking at night?

I consider Logan (3 months) to be STTN because he stays asleep the entire time that I'm sleeping. But he goes down for the night for himself around 7/8 and is up for the day around 7 and eats twice during that time (right before I go to bed and after I wake up for the morning).

DS is 6 months old and is down to just one regular wake-up/feeding, somewhere between 2 and 4am. He eats and goes right back to sleep. He was regularly having 2-4 wakeups a night until we sleep trained at 4 months old; then he went down to 2 and then 1 pretty quickly. He goes to bed between 7-7:30pm and is up for the day anywhere between 5:30am (woof) and 7am.

That sounds pretty much like what my son was like at 5 months when he was EBF.

DD will be 5 months on the 8th and she still wakes up 2-4x/night. Most often, it's 2x, but once a week or so it's at least 3. DS was EBF as well and didn't STTN until 9 months when he started walking. I'm expecting at least the same this time.

We're at 5.5 months and he's usually up every 2 hours, so something like 2-5 times a night.

You might find these studies of interest; particularly the 4th one http://kellymom.com/parenting/nighttime/sleepstudies/

Don't feel bad... my EBF son didn't sleep completely through the night one day in his life until two weeks before he turned one. Then it was someone flipped a switch and he hardly ever woke during the night again. At 5 months 2-3 wakings was common.

LO is 7 months old and for the last 2 weeks he has not been waking up except for a quick soothing every once in a while cause his teeth hurt. I think starting solids has helped him sleep longer, plus daycare exhausts him. Plus, for now (I know its a jinx and probably will change in a month or two) he is a good sleeper.

And how old are they?

LO is 5 mo and her good nights are 2 wake ups. Sometimes 3 (bad is 4!). Has never been less than 2 though. I feel like she only wakes up when she's hungry, then eats and goes back to sleep. But everyone always asks me if she's STTN and makes me feel guilty!
