I try to limit her time in the jumperoo or bouncer to about 15 minutes per day. We have a large Korean play mat that she can safely roll around on. On a blanket, or an activity mat with toys above her. I'd sit near her and talk to her, we'd listen to music, I'd read to her or just myself, lots of fun stuff. When she was really little, I just snuggled her up next to me on the couch. But as soon as she started grabbing above her head and onto toys, I started putting her under her little baby gym. I would say the greater portion of his awake time is spent playing on the floor. He loves to practice crawling, scooting, "reading" his books, playing with his toys etc. Sometimes I let him gnaw on a carrot while on the floor and he loves that. @Rainbow Sprinkles: I packed ours up because he was never on it anymore haha! I personally believe that is why she is ahead on her physical milestones (early roller, early sitter, early belly crawler); because she has lots of time on the floor to discover what she can do with her body.
