On Saturday's we also just put the music channels on the TV and dance in the living room. In the car we stick to music from shows or movies they like... we find they like it best, probably because they are picturing the visuals! Bubble Guppies, My Little Pony, and Frozen. On the weekends when we spend play time at home, if the TV's not on, we put on music. It totally varies since Wagon Sr. likes to mix it up. Sometimes kid music like Raffi, or Veggie Tales, but sometimes he likes to introduce the kids to the bands or singers he likes. Wagon Jr. loves Ellie Goulding, Beach House, Muse, and Mutemath. A few others I can't remember right now. We have an old ipod mini (remember those?) loaded with all that music. LO listens to tunes with breakfast, we sing on the car ride to work/school and usually on the way home too. She also gets to watch a few song videos before bed too. Since he only wants a rotation of the same five songs, I get sick of it pretty easily. But I let him listen to it when he asks, since it's better than TV! This is his current playlist: "We are the dinosaurs" - Laurie Berkner Band "I'm gonna catch you" - Laurie Berkner Band "Happy" - Pharrell "Five Little Monkeys" - Go Fish "And the Green Grass Grew All Around" - Jewel And lastly, "Happy happy happy birthday" - Laurie Berkner oh and Let it go of course, though he's never seen the movie! I try to introduce him to a few new songs a week, and he does okay for a few minutes then just requests his old songs haha :)
