Lol. Her toys have taken over the living room , dining room, and family room. Pretty much entire downstairs. There are days that we get up, get ready and go somewhere first thing in the morning, come back, have lunch, then nap (she takes a long, late nap), then when she gets up from her nap we run errands, play outside, or she watches a show while I cook dinner downstairs... by the time dinner is finished, it's time to get ready for bed! So there are days when there is just no opportunity! We are hardly home during the week, but they definitely go in there on the weekends. It has a little table and chairs, most of her toys and all of her books. We play in there for a little while every day but she wont play long without me. She likes to play *with* someone. If I try to leave her be, she will act out (run into the bathroom and unravel the loo roll etc) for attention. We have our spare bedroom upstairs also set up as a playroom and it barely gets used. But, any toys that are on that level are in the play room. Meaning we don't keep any toys in the living room. He prefers someone to be in there playing with him, but it's open to the kitchen/dine-in area, so he's ok being in the play room alone if someone is visible. If we try to go in the living room, he will usually grab some toys and come play in there. We do have a small area in the corner of the living room that has their kid table, a small bookshelf with art stuff/puzzles etc and then a basket with all their figurines they love to play with. They have so many nice things in their playroom though, I wish they would play in there more! I'm not sure if it's just their age or they don't want to be in there if we are not in there but it's a bummer! If your LO has a playroom, how often do they play in it? Does it make a difference if you are in there with them or not?
