Try have between 4-5 ounces each. I did 5 5 ouncers today and she drank all of it! Maybe I'll try 4 5 ounces and ask them to try to space it out. I think try to feed her everytime she's fussy but she's actually tired. I've never heard of a baby eating so much. She'll be 6 months on Friday and we're starting solids then. Milk production really stresses me out! She doesn't always finish all of her bottles, so she probably averages about 4 ounces per feed. I don't think you need more ounces, per se, but just a redistribution of the ounces . . . .so, going from four 3oz feeds to three 4oz feeds, if that makes sense. When she's with me she eats every 2.5-3 hours. They asked me to up her ounces per bottle to see if she could stretch longer, but she ate 25 ounces in 9.5 hours yesterday! I'm only pumping around 16 ounces while at work. Is this normal?? She also nursed two times during the night, at 6am before daycare and two times in the evening.
