LO definitely tests us a few minutes every day. Maybe very naughty (like an extended amount of time), once every other week. Sometimes I look around and see other kids so mellow and I wonder. At our similarly aged art class, every kid had a meltdown at some point so I know it's not just us. (I noticed each parent handled it quite differently though.)
I'm chalking it up to brain development leaps. I'm reading a book about Terrible Twos and she's not even 18 months yet. http://www.amazon.com/Making-Terrible-Twos-Terrific-Rosemond/dp/0836228111

He's very rarely naughty (in the way that Mrs.Wagon described) but he will ignore us sometimes when we ask him to put away his toys or shoes (which I'd consider naughty since he's blatantly ignoring us!). He just turned 2 though, so we probably haven't entered the terrible two's yet. I scurrrred.

DD is usually only defiant and naughty when she's very tired. And since we';ve been traveling like non-stop for the past few weeks, that has been A LOT lately. I am so looking forward to getting back to normal.

ETA: I consider her being naughty when she's being defiant or ridiculously stubborn. For example, this morning she wanted DH to peel her banana instead of me and spent the 5 minute drive to daycare screaming and spitting. :/ Here's hoping she got a good nap in at school today!

Wagon Jr. is rarely outrightly naughty (I count naughty as things like throwing things out of anger, hitting, spitting, biting, etc... straight to time out for those) but he is frequently outrightly whiny. He just finished his round of amoxicillin for his ear infection and his behavior has gotten a lot better, but when he was sick, he was pretty ridiculously whiny.

Our little lady got really naughty at about 27 months...maybe 28 actually. Stupidly, we thought we were skipping the terrible twos..bahahaha we were so wrong. Now, if any of us make it to her nap time without freak outs, I feel like a total rockstar.

Yesterday was ROUGH with DS. Super naughty and whining non-stop. He turned 3 in April...the 2's weren't terrible for him, he never screamed or yelled, he always listened and people always stopped me in public to tell me he was so well behaved. Not so much now, well he still behaves in public...it's just at home where we are having the problems. Right now, he won't pick up his toys or get dressed without yelling at me or having to go in a time-out. Hoping this phase passes soon! I miss my sweet little boy!

DD is rarely ever naughty. She can get into bad moods and I have to deal with that but she doesn't usually do things that are naughty yet.

LO is nearly 3 and he's been super naughty a lot this year. It began shortly after he turned 2. His sister was born right before his second birthday so I'm sure that's affected him a little as well. Someone told me 3s are better but I've also heard the opposite so I'm just hoping for the best for this coming year.

Charlie has been sooooo naughty since he woke up from his nap. We are just looking forward to bedtime! It is rare that he is this naughty - deliberately doing things he knows he's not supposed to, and even asking for time outs. Part of it is probably that he's hungry, but he won't eat much.

Most of the time Charlie is sweet, but maybe once a month he makes us want to put him in time out all day!
