I pump before on the way to work at 7 then 9:30, 12, and 2:30 at work. I am in the process of dropping that 12 pump session. I do not pump enough anyway and every 2.5 hours is too close together for me. I also have a dairy fairy bra, so I just pull one shirt up, pull my underneath cami down, and pull the panels of the bra aside and shove the flanges in. This way I can still wear a "real bra" and not have to take it off/change or anything. I'm far less exposed this way (after all, i would hate for someone to come up to me in the parking lot while I'm setting up or unhooking!). I feed him whenever he wakes up in the morning. Usually around 5, then pump on my way into work in the car at 6:15, then during my prep at 8:30, again during my lunch at 11:30, then at 2:10 when school gets out. I pick him up at home and feed him when we get home when he is hungry around 5 then at bedtime around 7. He usually is waking up around 1am to eat too. That is 8 times total for me. Next semester my schedule is not as good, but I pump really fast for whatever reason. I usually get all my milk in the first 3 minutes. So I can maybe squeeze a pump in over a passing period. With my first, I pumped twice—once in the morning, and once around lunchtime. I nursed at 6, and at 4 when I got him. This time, my two periods I can pump will be very close together (10-1045 and 1140-1225 on a normal day). Right now, my planning period is first thing, and then I'm straight through until the end of the day, which I know is not going to work. Not 100% clear on the childcare details yet, but I will be gone from approximately 7am-4pm, while LO is 15-30 weeks old (then I'll be on summer break). What intervals were you going between pumps/feeds at that age?
