About half the time DS came home sick with something from daycare, he'd get it. A little more than normal for me and it was awful because I was semi-single parenting. It was soooo hard to be sick and have no help taking care of the baby. When I had my 2nd child, I got pneumonia and a kidney infection and that was awful! I had to have help then. I had a horrible kidney infection and pneumonia during LO2's first year of life. Just two days a week but every week there is a new illnesses. Both kids have been constantly ill since September and I obviously catch everything too, but my husband took it to the extreme and a really nasty cold led to facial palsy that still isn't better two months later. The worst was getting bronchitis when she had HFM but she's out of daycare for 10 weeks during summer break and she was over one. He wasn't in daycare so I think we avoided a ton of germs that way. I stayed healthy the whole year and he was sick for the first time around 11 months. When we switched daycares last year, we had a whole another year of new illnesses. My youngest gets it the worst. In the new year, he's going to see an ENT for possible tubes since he's had a lot of ear infections. I like to think that this is the trenches time that it gets better when they're in elementary school. Right now I have pink eye, a virus, and terrible sore throat. DH has pink eye, cold and fever. LO is just getting over an ear infection and doing drops for her eyes. We are miserable and exhausted. DD will both sleep in her crib, so she's been sleeping with me. I know she needs cuddles, but I am dead tired. This is rambling, but I'm so frustrated! Ran to Target to get cough drops, forgot hand sanitizer and then wandered all over the freaking parking lot bc I couldn't find my car. Ahhhhh!
