Right now I have a four year old two three year olds and a 1 year old. The three older ones remember last year and the things we did and are looking forward to them agin. So I would say between two and three they really get it and get excited. Then it just grows each year. And he loved having family members over for dinner. I think he knew it was a special occasion because everyone was opening gifts and he was running around tearing up wrapping paper.
