If you are told they can't bring it to daycare or school or worried they will lose it I get that but otherwise I really don't believe we need to let these things go. I always hated that scene in Mr. mom where they take the boys "wubby" away. He not only sleeps with him, but likes taking him places and really finds comfort in him when he is sad or angry or whatever. He's only 2.5 so we are lenient with where he can take him etc. Is there an age where a kid becomes too old for a lovey? What is that age? </p> <p>This is coming from the woman who slept with her blanket until she got married (agreement with my husband that blankie could not come to the marital bed). </p>
