E is 20 months also, and pouches are currently his main source of vegetables. He won't eat the real things, but sucks it down in puree form.

DS is three and I keep a small supply in the house. He probably only eats one per week, but he still likes them and it's a good way to get in extra fruit and veggies, especially in the winter.

I was going to mention, too, that Ellie is in 1st grade and apparently they are a very coveted snack! Her teacher joked that all the other kids want Ellie to give them one, and that she has been offered chocolate in trade! But they are only allowed to eat what their parents provide, so she has gotten to keep her pouches.

I still give them to Charlie at 4. They're such an easy snack on the go, and sometimes I pack them into his lunchbox for his after school snack.

That said when he was younger, he really had an issue with food textures and ate soups and purees for a long time. He outgrew it eventually but if he had an issue I would definitely limit them if it affected his oral muscles.

LO likes the fruit/veggie pouches, so I use them for on-the-run snacks when my fresh fruit reserves are gone. We get the ones with no added sugar/fruit juice. I eat them from time to time too, because they taste good and there is usually one hanging out in the bottom of my bag. :)

When he was younger (he's 3yo), I'd occasionally use them as an extra veggie boost for days when I felt like his veggie consumption was too low. I don't think pouches particularly impacted his willingness to eat other food. He's not a picky eater now at all.

DH saw some older kids (5-7) eating the same tots pouches DD (1) eats! So I think like PPs said, it's a cleaner healthy easy snack on the go!

I've seen adults eat pouches on occasion!

And I have no issues giving my son, who is almost 2, pouches - especially the ones with green veggies in them which he wouldn't eat otherwise!

30? We don't rely on them heavily, but I like to have them along if we have to eat on the go, and Ellie takes them sometimes for a snack at school because she is very anti-vegetable/fruit and it's better than nothing.

My 3 year old eats applesauce from a squeeze pouch.

I don't know, sometimes I think pouches kind of ruined his eating because he didn't have to chew, if that makes sense.

DS is 20 months and eats a moderate variety of foods. I still give him an organic veg/fruit/quinoa pouch almost daily (sometimes 2). He loves them (even if he doesn't like he solid veg equivalent), they're easy if we're out and I feel like its at least giving him nutrition and a taste experience he misses if he refuses what I make.

Is he too old for these? Am I instilling bad eating habits by having an alternative to dinner should be not want to eat it?
