She mostly just did it on her own – started giving tired cues earlier so we started trying to get her down by 10, then 9, then 8. We also instituted bath/bottle/bed routine, which helped A TON. I cannot recommend getting into a routine enough! Even if it takes them a bit to get into the routine, it pays in the long run. LO is all conditioned now; as soon as she gets out of the tub and gets her bottle, she starts to fall asleep.</p> <p>My LO was completely nocturnal when she was born; so it is possible for them to come a looooooooooooooong way in a relatively short period of time. She fell right asleep but got up 45 mins later because she got her hands out of her swaddle. I remember around 8 weeks, she started to go to bed around 10PM, then a couple weeks later, it was 9PM, etc. I think by the time she was 5 or 6 months old, it had moved up to 7PM.
