We also have a 7-year old cat. We got her at 5 months old from the local humane society. I want a dog, but DH says we need to wait until we're done having kids. Considering our first LO is only 3 weeks old... You'd never guess he was that old if you saw him...only when you get up close and can distinguish all his grey hairs from his normal grey fur!!</p> <p>But I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for what will happen in 1-2 years.
