As for extended stays,</p> <p>3 months I went away with my parents for a long weekend and DD stayed home with dh and my inlaws</p> <p>5 months dh and I went on a ski weekend</p> <p>She's 7 months now and dh and I are leaving her with the grandparents next week while we go to Florida.</p> <p>All have gone well, her grandparents love the alone time with her. It just gets harder to leave her as she gets older! This will be our first overnight trip (two nights actually). I'm a nervous wreck, but I know it will be better to do it now than have the first time be while I'm in the hospital recovering. A sweet sweet friend who is like a second mom to me offered to watch him overnight, so we dropped him off at like 6 and picked him up at 8 the next morning. It was heavenly &lt;3 I knew he was well taken care of, and I got a full night of sleep and a (somewhat lame and boring) date night with hubby. DH arranged for us to stay the weekend at a nice hotel in a nearby city (close enough that we could be back quickly if needed). My SIL was thrilled to have them &amp; we were thrilled to get away.
