He did really well on the way home when we had his lovey with him to signal sleep. Surprisingly, he was a good traveler in the airport. Also, TSA agents love babies. We did 8.5 hours from London to Philadelphia, a 4 hour layover and then a 2.5 hour flight from Philadelphia to St Louis. (Thats not even taking into account the 3 hours it took to get to Heathrow and the hour is took to get from the airport to my parents house.)</p> <p>It wasn't too bad. Our flight left at noon, so she was pretty much awake for all of the long flight. She was pretty calm though, thankfully. (to your neck of the woods too.. we flew into O'Hare.) Wagon Jr. was 3.5 years (poor guy, we never traveled with him!) and LMW was 10 months. They both did great!! Don't know how they would have been on a longer flight but they both passed out right after takeoff for both flights. LMW only slept 30-45 min on each flight (she doesn't do well with naps anywhere but her crib) but Wagon Jr. slept an hour the way there and more than an hour on the way back! </p> <p>The toughest part was getting through security (so many pieces and people to search) and waiting at the gate. I can't remember where I was going, but the point when I woke up they were trying to route me from New Mexico to NY to get somewhere on the west coast. LO flew at 6 weeks and she did wonderful, slept the whole time on the flight there and back! Our flight was only 2 hours though.
