Now at 14 months he points at everything. But are you asking if your LO should be able to point at a named object (like if you ask him to point at a car)? I don't think that would happen for awhile unless it's something they see regularly. Like, my LO will point at dogs, fans and lights if I ask him to but wouldn't point at a car or watch or whatever. Can he follow your "point?" From what I've been told, that's a more important skill.
