She will be around 21 months when the new baby comes, so we wanted to transition well ahead of that. Her sleep was bad and transitions were horrible. We had nothing to lose! Transitions have been much better since. </p> <p>She just turned 2 and we'll be switching her to a twin in the next month. She's ready and we need the crib for the new baby. We cosleep and taught her how to slide down off the bed so I think she could handle her own bed.
