We were supposed to start w/ 2 at 6 months and move to 3 around almost 7 months but it was too much so at going on 7 months we are doing 2 meals/day. But the main thing is I think as long as LO is nursing well you should be fine! :)

I'd say around 10 months for us. I do both - spoon feed and BLW. I'll feed him his main meal and then give him fruit to eat on his own afterwards. For me, it's a good combo b/c it's quick yet he gets to eat on his own which gives me some time to do things as well or more like tend to his brother who is a really messy eater. LOL!

7 months old, I noticed that she would get pissy around lunch. Started offering her lunch, problem solved. So we went to it very early - which isn't what most children need.

We just recently started 3 meals/day last week (LO is 7.5 months old). He's been on 2 meals/day since 6 months (he started solids at 5 months). We started with purees and have been slowly adding finger foods into the mix as well.

LO is 8.5 months old, and I'm wondering if I should just let him try his solids for 3 meals a day. We've done two meals a day for two weeks, but they have varied. I did baby-led-weaning at first but I got impatient, so I started also spoon-feeding him, which he was very receptive to. Now, I think I notice that when I spoon-feed him, he has dropped from two night feedings to one, and on days that I let him try to eat on his own, he wakes up for two feedings. This leads to me believe he needs the extra help. I was perhaps thinking of dedicating one meal where he could do it all by himself, and then two meals where I can do a combination of BLW and spoon-feeding. He is still nursing the same amount though. Just wondering when you introduced your LO to three meals of solids per day.
