They had my brother at 29 and 31. At the time, my mom was considered old when she had us. Now, I'm 31 and DH is 33 right now. My brother was born when my mum was 28 and my daddy 56. Obviously my daddy was much older than average; we were his only children though. In the year my little sister was born (2005; she is adopted) my mum was 48 and also became a grandma. I hope to have my first at 22, my DH will be 26. I'm 30 and my husband is 46. My husband's parents were very young when they had him (like, 20 and 21 maybe?) so all the grandparents are roughly the same age, despite our age difference. I am amazed that they were married for almost a year and owned a home for about the same amount of time before I was born and they did it so young. I am 28 and DH will be 33 when our LO is born, and we will have been married just under 2 years, and have owned our house for just under 3 years when baby is born. I am glad my LO will have such young grandparents, they will have a long time with them around. They will be 53 and 51 when they become grandparents when I have my son in April. Honestly, I hope to be a grandma before I'm 60- that'll give my son until he's 36, afterall.
