LO is almost 3, and he has never had a costume (gasp!). They do a non-Halloween party on Halloween at preschool, and we didn't get any trick-or-treaters last year, so I just skipped it. I'm planning to do the same this year. ;)</p> <p>However, I do have fond memories of making my own costumes (I was usually a character from a book...), so maybe once he's older I will cave and have a party. I do hope to skip trick-or-treating altogether. DS went with us down the street at age 13 months and did great. He loved that you could go to the door, and someone would come out with a treat. We also enjoyed watching trick-or-treaters come to our door. We went with a group of neighbors, one who had a LO close to her age. She was very good at walking up and saying trick or treat and holding out her bag. She loved seeing all the other kids out and about and their costumes.
