He doesn't have a desk job, and his attention to detail is crucial, so unless it's really important I don't expect immediate responses. </p> <p>I'm the one who is really bad about seeing texts since I'm chasing around kiddos and running to appointments all day. Getting a Fitbit that receives texts has been super helpful when I have my phone plugged in or in the other room. We use it for outgoing purposes rather than incoming. It used to bother me a little but I can't say anything because I'm the same way.If he doesn't respond, he has his hands full, driving or the phone is in another room in the house. If I don't respond, I didn't bother to charge my battery or it is lost in the house or stuffed in my purse with volume almost always off. </p> <p>My cousin had me text my husband about giving meds to our dog on NYE and he didn't text back but she kept asking me about it throughout the day. Finally she asked, What happens if it is something super important and he doesn't check his text? I said, We use our best judgement and make a decision independently with the info that we have and let the chips fall. If I get a random sweet text during the day, it is super surprising!
