I had absolutely no pain or soreness down there post partum &amp; I was really missing my husband (not just sexually, just all around felt distant from him) so I thought it would be a good idea. Nope. It was uncomfortable probably for the next 3 or 4 times after too. My midwife cleared us at my 6 week appointment but I wasn't quite ready (vaginal birth with 2nd degree tear that was an "interesting" shape and therefore hard to stitch up properly/slow to heal)...and then DH kept forgetting to buy condoms, so he couldn't have been that desperate. I asked him to keep going to just get it over with, but tears aren't sexy, who knew? It hurt WAY more than losing my virginity. Probably still not fully healed then. </p> <p>Successful at 13 weeks.
