From 18 months to now (about to turn two) he has had a strong mommy preference. She's fine with daddy when I'm not around or she can't see me- like if I go to the other room to lay down, she might cry or whine for a minute, but then is happy with dad even though she remembers in still home. But if I'm around she wants me. </p> <p>@lovehoneybee: C not only announces that I'm going potty while I'm doing so, if we are out and use a public restroom, she keeps announcing it to people we pass. Today she told no less than 3 Marshall's employees that "mommy go potty!" Thanks, kiddo. I try to get her to go to dh, but it doesn't work. like, last night she was asking me to read books, and I would read it through and then tell her to take it to dada. she'd take it to him, he'd read 1 page, and then she grabbed it and brought it back to me. she did that like 4 times in a row. so sad! poor dh! Have to admit, it stings a bit when she rejects me when I'm doing her bath or bedtime routine. She usually prefers whichever parent she's spending more time with, but since that's been pretty balanced these days... her preference is pretty unstable these days. Usually during the week she prefers me, but on weekends she will ask for her mother.</p> <p>How stable is your LO's parental preference? </p>
