@pastemoo: Oh my gosh. I wouldn't have been able to stop holding him!!

haha don't worry about it ;) I asked the question so technically I thread jacked myself ;)

I woke him, fed him some dinner, gave him a bath and nursed him and he went right to sleep! I was shocked. Normally he doesn't do that. Sweet thing!! I wore him right out!

Actually it's part of the reason we give him a paci to sleep now (reduces risk of SIDS)

And I totally thread jacked. So what did you decide? Did you wake him? Move him over?

@Coco Bee: No, just had to keep kind of waking him up. He was really really out and we couldn't wake him up for real (he is usually a very alert baby and a light sleeper if you touch him). The warning sounds helped him (I think?) so I just stood over him making sure he didn't stop again.

@Coco Bee: I dunno, the monitor went off a few other times but one nap it went off 3 times, and finally I just leaned over the crib and watched him sleep (and kept putting my finger under his nose to feel the breath). He was pale/grey. Scared the crap out of me!

@pastemoo: he did!?!?! did you post about that?! I don't remember. oh my gosh so scary. I contemplated buying that, and read a few reviews where some moms said it saved their baby's life...

@prettylizy: amazingly he was fine! I woke him up and gave him a bath and his dinner, he went right to sleep at 7!

@Coco Bee: isn't that like the 6 million dollar question? Do I wake you up and risk messing with the rest of the night, or leave you to sleep and risk messing with the rest of the night. I feel like it's a no win situation.

FWIW, I'd wake up and do nightime routine.

I'd just transfer him to the crib... and deal with the "dream feed" too early for my liking.
I NEVER wake my baby on purpose anymore but I always transfer him to the crib at night because it has the motion monitor and he had one nap where he stopped breathing...

@Mrsdaredevil: wow!! that is an amazing feat!

@Mrsbells: @tequiero21: Well I woke him, fed him some dinner, gave him a bath and nursed him and he went right to sleep! I was shocked. Normally he doesn't do that. Sweet thing I wore him right out!

@chopsuey119: yeah... I used to start nannying at 12pm and back then that was right in the middle of his nap time, so I always had to wake him. I felt so badly!! Now he gets up earlier.

so cute!
I've never woken my LO up.
Well, I woke her up once when we were up in PA for DH's family reunion. We had to get to his grandma's 90th birthday dinner.

I didn't want to wake LO up, but I did it because I had to!

With two kids, my youngest's sleep gets interrupted a lot; but I manage to get him back on track anyway so it's not as bad.

this just happened last night because we were out past her beditme. when we got home, she was fast asleep in the car. I didn't want to wake her up for her bedtime routine and risk her not going back down, so I just put her down in her clothes (picked her up without waking her) and she slept for 7 hours!

I never wake up Cobi unless I absolutely NEED to!! Sleep is precious and he is so much happier when he has uninterrupted sleep.

Tonight he had his first swim lesson - yay!! It was at 5pm, prime time for him. On the way home he completely zonked out in his carseat and it asleep. It's 6:05. Should I wake up and do the bedtime routine? Or should I let him sleep in his carseat and mess up his bedtime schedule?!
