Last time we had him measured, L was in the 4th percentile for height. Poor dude. He's quite a bit shorter than most of his friends. That being said, my kids are usually plotted somewhere between 80th and 98th at our visits. </p> <p>I'm the "short" one in my own family, at 5'10", which I believe is 95th or 97th for women. My little sister (who was SUPER short as a little kid) is 6' and my girl cousins are all tall on my dad's side. My mom and her side are short- 5'5" and under. My husband is 6'3" and both of our daughters are very tall so far: 3 year old wears size 5T/ 6 for length, but is so thin it's hard to find things that are both long and narrow enough. 19 month old is starting to outgrow some 2T stuff lengthwise, but is also skinny and it still fits her pretty well. I'm guessing both will be around my height, possibly taller, but I guess we'll have to wait about a decade, or more, to see! DD3 was born a hair taller than her sisters at birth (21") but being 5 weeks old we aren't sure how she'll pan out. My parents are both tall (dad 6'3", mom 5'7"). I was in the 98th percentile for height growing up. I was always told that I was going to be very tall and I towered over my classmates. The doctors told my parents that I would likely be about 6' tall!! Turns out, at age 11, I just stopped growing. Never grew another inch again! I am 5'6" and my sister is 5'5" with a similar story. Being 5'6" at age 11 was actually awful, but I don't mind it anymore.
