@Mrsbells: Not necessarily. Some diapers, when properly fit, can leave marks but others might not. I think it depends on what diaper you are using, your baby's shape and gender (roly poly or long and lean, girl vs boy because it changes where you need the absorbency the most), and how they pee (slow, fast, small but frequent, less often but a lot, etc). I haven't used the BG Freetime but I have plenty of BG 4.0s. My son typically doesn't get any real marks around his thighs but occasionally he does around his waist. If you aren't getting leaks, I wouldn't mess with it. If you are getting leaks and it isn't due to a repelling issue, then you may need to consider changing the fit of the diaper. My son's will gap a little sometimes around the leg in his BG 4.0s when in a sit but typically this isn't an issue for us.

If ours leave a mark, then we loosen them up. They seem loose on top, but they never leak. Hope that helps a little!

Hmmm, LO has huge thighs and I worry that I snap her diapers too tight. Right now there are 3 rows that aren't used when I fasten them...maybe I should make it 4? I worry about blowouts if I put them on too loose!

I see.. so should i be making it tight enough to leave a mark? Is it a bad things if the fit around her thighs is loose?

We use Freetime one size all in one diapers by bum genius and I always wonder if I have them on the right size. At first I was using them on the smallest height setting but the I started seeing impression lines on LO's thighs so used the next snap, and they seem fine on her from some angles but then from other angles it seems as though the diaper is gaping open round her thigh, although it never leaks. Could be this why she gets occassional bumps on her butt?
