I know that if I were placing a child for adoption, finding parents who wouldn't spank would be high on my list. The terms I am most familiar with are "gentle discipline" and "positive parenting". Simply saying you both agree against spanking and hitting is important too. How is it the same or different from your parents? Both my husband and I were spanked/hit by our parents and we do not plan on doing the same. But how to sum up our plan for discipline concisely? There's like 5 lines for the answer so it's not like they want a power point presentation. </p>
