We allow gaff tape only on the walls in our buildings--it's a kind of tape used for A/V equipment that you can get at select places and leaves no residue (it's like $15 a roll!). If they have an absolutely no tape policy, that wouldn't help you. I think sticky tac/poster putty (they do make it in white) is the next best option.

@artbee: I could probably hang things from the ceiling but that will probably be too high. I'll have to take a look when I go check out the venue in January again.

@spaniellove: Ahhh I see. I'll add that to my list of q's to ask when I see them in Jan. The walls are painted blue and green so that might be okay!

@Mrs. Pen: I think it also goes by poster putty...it's this stuff the texture of chewing gum that you can roll up in bits and stick on the back of posters to hang them on walls! Teachers use it a lot in classrooms. The only objection they could have is if you use the blue kind, which sometimes stains a little.

Is there anything you can tie twine around? You can use clothespins to hang things on twine.

@Mrs. Pen: Yep, like the 3M hooks. I know my dorm in college didnt allow tape or tacks, but let us use those.

@mrs. wagon: oooh that's a great idea!! I'll have to test that theory lol if I want to hang a banner/garland it might be too heavy.

@zippylef: not sure... like the 3M strips?

Our venue is booked for Cobi's first birthday in two months (eek!!!), but as is standard with most venues no tape or tacks are allowed. We're blessed that the nature center is gorgeous and one huge wall is a window facing the woodlands, so less decor is more. But I still want to do some things and I'm feeling limited- Any ideas?
