@poundcake: great question I was wondering the same for my LO. We didn't walk today or yesterday because the weather changed suddenly and I didn't feel prepared!
@jedeve: that's very helpful thanks!

@jedeve: thanks, I like the guideline of a warm tummy and cool hands and feet. I live in FL so dressing for the weather is kind of a guessing game especially with a newborn. Things don't get too terribly cold, but enough to make us bundle up!

I would do the blanket on top and a hat. Snuggle her in really well and enjoy your walk!

I usually did long sleeve onesie and pants, socks, and one of those thick fleece bunting things that include feet and foldover mittens and a hood. Really cold days I put a thin hat under the hood. I had a bundle me thing and would put her in that in the stroller on the very coldest days. Usually I did either the bunting or the bundle me though- with the bundle me I did a warm puffy jacket but regular pants since her legs were inside.

I think a onesie + fleece sleeper + bunting + blanket + hat would be good for that weather.

I would go out for a walk and see how she does. Her belly should be warm but not hot and hands and feet should be cool not cold when you get inside. If her feet are hot, she was probably too warm. If her belly is cool, she was probably to cold. If her belly was warm and her feet or hands are cold, add socks/mittens.

I feel kinda silly for asking this, but how do you all dress your babies when going out in cold weather? The temperature has dropped into the low 30s / high 20s where we live and I want to be sure LO, who is 7 months stays warm and cozy. I love walking outside with her but sometimes I worry it's just too cold and windy.

Is something like a puffer jacket layered over a long sleeve onesie, leggings, and socks enough? I usually put a stroller blanket on top of her as well. Should she wear a hat all the time? Do I need to get baby gloves? Is this where those bunting snowsuit things come into play? Help! :)
