Your RE office is another good resource. They may have acupuncturists that they recommend.

I googled. I would try to find someone with a specialty in fertility/women's health if you can, that's what I looked for, along with education and licensing. I had the best experience with someone who was a licensed naturopathic physician, and could prescribe both eastern and western medicine. She was also a third generation acu. The person I went to who was just a licensed acu wasn't as accepting of my work with the RE and was much more into the mind-body therapy side of it.

Like @Mrs.Someone: suggested, look for your city's annually published list of Best Doctors. This is a great resource! Or if you're planning on using insurance, you could always look up providers via the insurance's website and look up reviews on each provider.

I use Yelp for EVERYTHING like this. Including finding an acupuncturist. Mine had nothing but awesome reviews. I'd search for "acupuncturist fertility". Also, if you're in a larger city some of the local newspapers/magazines might have a 'Best Doctors' list, so seeing my acupuncturist on that helped me feel that Yelp was accurate. And she is awesome, I got pregnant after my first full month of seeing her and taking herbs. (The reason I had a m/c that time was because of issues beyond her control, that I found out about the following month).

** One note about Yelp reviews. Beware of any review from someone who has only ever made 1 review, especially if it is very specific in listing services, prices, etc. People like to beef up their profiles...

I'm just curious to see how you ladies that use acupuncture went about finding a good reputable one. I'd like to look into it but I want to make sure that they are certified and know what they are doing before I start spending the money and taking different herbs and things. Just curious! Thanks!
