I've tried telling her it's ok if she swallows some but she's stubborn and just flat out refuses to use her "princess toothpaste." And she hasn't gotten the hang of spitting yet but we still have her try. They recommend that kids as young as two use fluoride now... and he said that it's ok if they swallow some.</p> <p>Now we don't emphasize that they shouldn't swallow, but instead just stress that they should spit out every 10 seconds or so. She cries and cries and only lets us brush with water. I think she got scared because we told her not to eat/swallow it like she did with the non-fluoride paste. Did anyone else go through this? How can we get her to use the toothpaste? </p>
