@Sams Mom: Oh. Poor Sam ... so not happy! I know what you are alluding to. I had to wrestle my Godson down in my tub. Poor little guy didn't like me until I brought out bubbles. Lol. Seriously, though, really warm water and dawn works wonders.

@Kaohinani: I tried the blue Dawn first (it's in the shower for the dog 😂), I think I got most of it, but he became resistant/soapy wet toddler doesn't mix

Do you have a metal nit comb? I wonder if you could just comb it out with that.

I’ve heard peanut butter works for getting gum out, I would try that.

I would try an oil same as you would approach gum.

We had this happen when my bestie's kids were playing with the cheese wax (* mind you, as a clean freak, I WAS NOT HAPPY.). I was able to wash a 3-year-old's hair (her son), as well as, have my bestie clean her 11 yrs old DD's hair with VERY warm water (not hot enough to burn the scalp) and Dawn dish soap... after the wax was out, a second scrub with regular shampoo led to soft "wax-free" locks. Her DD snuck some wax upstairs in my DD'S room to play with and got it all over her carpet... oxiclean, hot water, and Dawn before I ran the spotbot did wonders

@Sams Mom: Yes...that's more than fair. I'd say do it when he goes to bed, but DD is a wild animal, never know when she'll roll over. I think I'd have DH give her a big bear hug while I quickly go for it. BUT my girl perhaps a bit less feral. Those kids...what next?!

@SweetCaroline: I have both, I think I'm more scared about a hot implement near a semi feral toddler's head that can sense my fear.

Do you have a hair straightener or curling iron? Is his hair long enough to use those to melt it and then wipe off both the tool and his hair? I don't know if that is clever or crazy...

🤦🏼‍♀️

My son runs up to me as soon as I walk in the door telling me he has candy in his hair. The baby sitter wasn't sure what it was, but got a lot of it out. It didn't smell sweet, and isn't very sticky.

After bribing him with a couple gummy robots, he showed me.

It's the red wax from babybel cheese. From what I can tell he chewed on it some? Then stuck it in his hair? (They're in one of the lower drawers in my fridge, so he could have done all of this in the time it took her to go to the bathroom.)

It's not water or soap soluble as far as I know.

Any suggestions?
