I think that shelf mount is pretty common. My inherited built-ins are the same and I don't think mine are any fancy brand. I'd take it in to a closet design store or Lowes/ HD and see if they can offer a shelf to fit. Since there are already pre-drilled holes in the frame, lots of hardware will fit.. There are also some little peg-like mounts that will work with the holes already there.. The important thing is having the shelf cut to fit.

@Mamaof2: @2littlepumpkins: Thanks, mamas! This is on my to-do list - when I posted I was being lazy and trying to just order something online, but I realized that there are way too many kinds of mounting hardware to try to guess....and that of course my shelves are a custom length! Never simple, right?!? :)

Agree with mamaof2!

But also, some homes have custom ones. As in a local company makes them from scratch, so sometimes the widths are weird and they need to be cut which can also be done at HD depending if you're ok with potentially mismatched stains, etc.

@PinkElephant: I would take the picture to HD or Lowes - those guys can usually tell right away or can give you options that work

Has anyone designed a built in closet recently who might have tips on how to identify the maker of existing closet shelving? I'd like to buy some additional shelves for DD's closet, but can't for the life of me figure out what brand her closet is. Thanks in advance for any leads - I'm hoping someone resourceful might recognize the hardware just from a picture!! (posted below)
