When LO was too stuffy to breathe and sleep well our pediatrician approved benadryl. But I know not all do.

Thanks, @abbydabbydoodlebug @macintosh! We've had colds before but nothing like this. She's finally asleep so hopefully she'll stay asleep and feel better tomorrow!

Saline spray and snot sucker, ibuprofen, a warm bath, lots of fluids. When my LO had an ear infection at 11 months it was like he was 3 months old again. I had to hold him upright and distract him with the tv (no shame here) so he could calm down enough to go back to sleep. Get well soon, baby!

Tylenol never works for anyone in our family, so we're an ibuprofen family. Also, if it's really bad, I give DD Benadryl to help dry it up and to get her to sleep. We had to do that when she had strep and was up every hour crying. But she was 20 months

@Truth Bombs: She's 9 months. I'll send DH out for some!

@mrs.shinerbock: Thanks, good ideas. She just passed out in the crib, but if she wakes up I think we'll try the glider.

So sorry your LO isn't feeling well. We usually try saline drops with the nose frieda so that LO can breathe, sit in the bathroom with the hot shower running. If I can get them to sleep on me, then I sleep in the glider.

Is she over 6 months? Tylenol literally does NOTHING for my kid, but Advil always does the trick no problem to help her feel better.

LO has a bad cold with all sorts of eye goop. We went to the doctor today to see if she had an ear infection, but were told that while she had some redness, she did not have an infection.

She's been miserable all afternoon, and bedtime is going terribly. She just screams hysterically when I put her in the crib, but I can't get her to go to sleep on me or anywhere else (this happened last night too and she finally passed out 2 hours after bedtime).

What do you do to make LO feel better? To get him/her to sleep? I gave her Tylenol but I don't know what else to do!
