I would do a foogo thermos container with cold milk and another container or baggie with cereal that they can pour into the milk. Or if he likes cheerios or something that easily comes in those individual serve boxes.
Or ask if you can keep a big box of cereal there and just send the milk in a foogo.

This is what I mean:

How about a lidded bowl with milk and a baggie of cereal to pour in it?

I think the take-n-toss toddler bowls would be a good size... or a lunch box with a small bowl, spoon, and small thermos inside? There's lots of nice options out there now to pack and keep foods cold and separate.

@HappyBaker: oh that's super nice! I don't think I can leave milk but I'll ask. They have spoons but not bowls for them.

Will they let you keep a quart or half gallon of milk at daycare? Ours does so we keep the milk there for the week and then just bring a baggie of cereal each day. One family actually just keeps a cereal box in their kid's cubby! School has paper bowls and plastic spoons so we use theirs.

Probably a silly question...DS1 (4) is getting to where he likes cereal with milk for breakfast but we don't have time for him to eat at home so he eats at school. Suggestions for how you would pack cereal and milk to bring to school? Just send a sippy to dump into a bowl with a lid? Is there a better solution?
