So far I've cleaned out the kitchen, rearranged under the sink, and now I'm about to start working on my closet.

Still need to work on menu planning though......

@sslm: I love our deep freeze. I was so happy when I came home one night. Hubby surprised me with it! He was like, "You are weird that a deep freeze would get you so happy. " :)

I'm definitely interested in this too. We only have to wait until after I get my period, but with my wacky/long cycles, who knows how long that'll be!!!!

I'm working on losing weight and starting an exercise routine. I'm also planning on taking some classes like cake decorating and photography. Basically, I want to distract myself by doing things that have been on my mental to-do list for a while.

I love the freezer meal idea though! We need to get a deep freeze so I can do this :)

Wow, good for you for losing weight so quickly! I joined ww after I miscarried. And focused on the house like you seem to be. I was actually in the middle of making a baby blanket for lo. It was a cross stitch. I thought about just putting it away, bit decided to finish it. It felt so good to get it done!

@yoursilverlining: I love the idea of a pre-babymoon!!! If you drink, even better... ;) since you can't drink on a babymoon. I never had one last night of drinking before this baby and I so wish I had!

@MrsLMA: Great idea! I was trying to get Hubby to help pick a color for boy or girl. He wanted to wait, but maybe this can change his mind and we can get it done. We were going to put in hardwood floors, so that will definitely happen now.

@yoursilverlining: another awesome idea! I know that Hubby is going to plan a vacation some time this summer around our original due date.

@mrs. wagon: I will defintely check out some recipes on there.

@Jennimac: almost all my recipes come from allrecipes.com. I go for the recipes with almost 5 stars and hundreds of reviews, and I look through the reviews for all of the change suggestions. Haven't really gone wrong yet! I also like looking thru the users' photos of the finished recipes to choose which one looks like it comes out best!

Any house projects that you wouldn't want to do pregnant? Painting (not that you COULDN"T do that while pregnant), window/gutter cleaning, landscaping/gardening (potentially with chemicals)? Reading is also a great time suck for me, but not what I would consider a project.

You could also start searching out antiques to refurbish into chic new nursery furniture?

@Jennimac: I have cooked, then frozen. Never tried the other way! But I've only done this with a couple of meals... and soups.

@mrs. wagon: That's a great idea! So here's a dumb question: Do you cook the entire meal, then freeze it? Like, I cook a casserole, then freeze it, then reheat it to eat OR do I get it all ready, freeze it, then cook it when we are going to eat? I would love to try out new recipes because Hubby is super picky. I kind of need to try out new recipes. We tend to get stuck in a rut very easily.

@Jennimac: ooh you know what might be a good idea? start cooking and freezing meals so that you can thaw and eat them during your pregnancy, just like you would do during pregnancy to eat them after the baby is born!! ;) that way the second time you do it, it'll seem so much easier and you will know which recipes you liked to eat!

@Lozza: That sounds great. I definitely want to get in a workout habit. I really tried this pregnancy to do that, but it would wear me out. Looking back I think my body was having too much trouble trying to keep the baby alive, so that's why working out was a chore.

@mrs. wagon: I was really starting to get some nesting instincts going, so I'm just going to try and keep that going. I would definitely love to begin a new pregnancy without the worry of having to createnew habits. I definitely need to get used to menu/meal planning for sure! I just got take out whenever we were pregnant because I felt so tired. I want to be more 'on top' of things before we are pregnant again. This was a big worry of mine while I was pregnant, so maybe it's a good thing we have a little more time right now.

I would try and start a workout regimen (which for me would probably just be yoga once a week and walking once or twice a week) that you can continue through pregnancy... if you can make it habit, it'll be that much easier to keep it up while pregnant. Also I'd start a meal/menu plan for each week and get used to that process as well.

Doing some deep-cleaning of the house might be useful as well. I've had some major nesting instincts this time around and doing the physical work of moving furniture and cleaning has been a little tough while pregnant... would have been nice to have a lot of it done beforehand!! :) Sounds like you are already on the way.

I'd also clean out my closets and consign things... I did this a few months ago and I've already made $450!!!

After we lost our first at 13 weeks, I tried to focus on getting myself into a better place physically and mentally. I spent time cooking, I took up a new exercise regime (joined a new gym with a really strong friendly/community vibe and went to classes every day), I read good books, I went to events and lectures and films, and just tried to indulge stuff that I wouldn't have the time or energy for if I had a child. Working on awesome-ifying myself was nice because I felt like I had control over something and could make positive changes.

So, we have to wait 3 months before we can start trying again after our miscarriage at 20 weeks. I'm already back to pre-pregnancy weight and clothes. Totally seems unreal since it's been a week since I delivered. I can only hope it comes off this easy when we have another one.

Now, I'm trying 'focus' my patience on to different projects while I"m waiting. I am going to try and lose 5-10 lbs, clean out the nursery room, and de-clutter/organize our house. I've already re-organized the kitchen. My closet is the next project on the list.

I know that people are going to probably say, take time off from things, take time to grieve, and we are. I also just one of those people that like to have my projects and my 'next thing' to focus on.
