She's okay with cleanings but she just does better with things if she knows in advance what's going to happen. My 4 year old has a cavity on one of her back molars. Rather than filling it, since she could barely sit through a cleaning, our pediatric dentist suggested using silver diamine flouride to stop the filling. I haven't told her that she's having it done (at the advice of the dentist). She is pretty sensitive and fearful of new experiences. I'm really worried about how she'll handle all of it. Any tips from parents who have gone through it?</p> <p>One thing I plan on doing is picking up one of the things they put over her nose for the gas so we can "play" with it at home beforehand. </p>
