Get really thin slices, slightly freeze, then spread cream cheese and herbs. At my shower, we had a platter with the salmon layed out with tongs for picking it up, onions and capers on the same platter. On the one hand the cost makes me say no although we can get it super cheap from NYC. But then it's one of M's fave food so I like the idea of serving that.</p> <p>Anyway, it's a little messy to eat. How would you serve smoked salmon in individual portions as an appetizer? Besides making into like a pate? </p>
