@LuLu Mom: Eh...I'd cut her some slack. I hated being pregnant (though I knew I was a miserable pregnant person). Though I get that there are people who don't mind it and others who even love it, I can't relate. I knew I was a Debbie Downer when I was pregnant and tried to keep it in check, but it's not always easy when your hormones are all over the place.

@Adira: oh I do, we were at our oldest nieces birthday (our other sister...lots of estrogen in my family) and I finally just said "quit being so negative, you're killing the party vibe" and she just glared at me and my mom said to knock it off and have some compassion...typical ;) I'm the loudmouth always getting in trouble.

@Greentea: I think she feels a little crappy so that doesn't help, but this will go on until after she has baby. She's kind of a stereotypical youngest child, EVERYTHING is worse/harder/ect. for her. She kind of acts like she's the first person to ever experience pregnancy ;)

Is she having a bad attitude or is it more like she feels crappy and a little depression is a result (that is getting the best of her)?

I don't have a sister, but if I did, I'd probably just be blunt and point out how negative they are when pregnant, haha! Maybe not good advice. Hope it goes by quickly for you!!

I feel you, girl. When I experienced this with someone close to me, I just focused on how it wouldn't last forever when we talked about stuff. I sort of did the whole "And just think, in three months you'll have a precious baby!" thing A LOT. I also offered suggestions/solutions when I could, but sometimes if things are really miserable that doesn't help.

Good luck!

Alright, I'm just laying this out there bluntly. My sister is pregnant with her 3rd (planned) and she's a miserable pregnant woman and the worst part is she DOESN'T know it! I was super excited to hear about another niece or nephew but then remembered how awful she is to be around when pregnant. Nothing goes right, nothing is good enough, something is always wrong, ect.

How do you handle someone who is negative most of the time?
